Introduction to Plasma Fibroblast
Many of our patients in Las Vegas are interested in skin tightening. We offer the Fibroblast plasma treatment which is a type of skin tightening procedure that delivers heat directly to the skin through a tiny needle.
Your Las Vegas skin tightening procedure will be performed by Dr. K in our state-of-the-art clinic. Below, we’ve included information about the treatment. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a consultation, please contact us today!
What is Plasma Fibroblast Treatment?
Tiny plasma arcs created through an electrical discharge are delivered to the skin through a Fibroblast, creating small dots upon impact. This treatment relies on sublimation, a process that turns solids directly into gas. The whole procedure is repeated over the treatment area to create a grid pattern.
Before the treatment, a topical anesthetic is applied to the target area. The treatment is then delivered. The results for a plasma fibroblast session are instant with full effects taking over 2-4 weeks after treatment. Once your skin tightens, you will notice an improvement in your tone and skin condition. This treatment also stimulates collagen production for 10-24 weeks after treatment.
Who are the Best Candidates for Plasma Fibroblast Treatment?
While fibroblast treatments are good for the skin, they’re not suitable for everyone. It is wise to consult a professional before getting permanent skin damage. If you have any of the conditions below, plasma fibroblast is unsuitable for you.
- Hemophiliacs and people with Hepatitis/HIV/AIDS
- Pregnancy
- Lupus
- Epilepsy
- If you have keloid scarring
- Anemic
- If you have active eczema or psoriasis
People who have undergone filler treatments, facelifts, chemo, eye laser surgeries, among other conditions have to wait for some time before undergoing a fibroblast procedure. Consult your doctor before undergoing a fibroblast treatment.
What are the Benefits of Plasma Fibroblast Treatment?
Some of the conditions that you can address with a Fibroblast include:
- Eduction of the upper lip wrinkles
- Eyelid lifting
- Neck tightening
- Treating stretch marks and scars
- Wrinkle reduction
What Are the Effects of Plasma Fibroblast?
When your skin is exposed to a plasma fibroblast treatment, it undergoes micro-trauma up to your dermal tissue. The surface of the skin is slightly removed with a “fanning” technique as the doctor creates tiny dots on your skin. These tiny dots are blood clots with small scabs at the top. The underlying tissue is completely protected from infection, which makes this process safer than micro-needling.
What’s the First Step?
The first step to getting skin tightening in Las Vegas by our Plasma Fibroblast is education. We firmly believe that it’s vital that patients truly understand the treatments before receiving them. During your consultation, we’ll discuss the benefits, risks, and frequently asked questions. If you and Dr. K both feel this is the best solution for you, we’ll either be able to provide the treatment right then and there, or we’ll book a time for you to come back that you’re more comfortable.
Protip: Be open with Dr. K about your skin goals. We’re all on the same side, and the more honest you are, the better chance we’ll have at finding a solution that is perfect for you.
What is The Recovery Process?
The recovery period varies from patient to patient. However, you can expect a bit of discomfort during the procedure. We apply a numbing agent to the area receiving treatment before fibroblast therapy. After the treatment, your skin will feel tight.
During days 1-3 after treatment, you will experience some itchiness on your scabs because they are healing. It is important to avoid picking the scabs to ensure that your skin heals flawlessly. To help you with healing, we provide a few post-procedure products you can apply to your skin.
By the fourth or fifth day, the tiny scabs will start falling off to expose pink dots. As the scabs fall off, the itchiness will also disappear and you can wear your makeup as you please.

FAQs
Why Should You Care About Fibroblasts?
When we are young, our bodies have tons of collagen I which is gradually replaced by collagen III as we age. Collagen I keeps your face smooth and round but collagen III is loose and disorganized. When you undergo a fibroblast treatment, your white blood cells work to repair the damaged skin and release collagen I in the process.
Fibroblast treatments reverse the aging process by: Forming new surface skin, Increasing elastin production, Removal of cellular trash, Releasing growth factors and Increasing the thickness of the skin
How Does Plasma Fibroblast Outperform CO2 or Ablative Lasers?
Plasma fibroblast treatments are more predictable than ablative treatments. Fibroblast treatments also do not create unnecessary damage to the skin. After the procedure, the lower layers of the skin are closed off immediately by scab making fibroblasts safer than CO2 or ablative lasers.
With fibroblasts, there is also a lower risk of developing hyperpigmentation compared to ablative lasers. The healing process is also faster, which reduces the downtime for a fibroblast treatment.
Lastly, the effects of a fibroblast last up to 3 years and have less sunshine sensitivity.
